The marginalization of the child in the modern greek society
S. KOTSOPOULOS

In the present paper it argued that the basic psychological needs of the child and the adolescent for free time available for play and socialization with peers have been ignored by the modern Greek family and the wider milieu of towns and cities. This may be considered as neglect of the psychological needs of the child and the adolescent and as their marginalization. This is a major social problem which requires the attention of communities across the country. Family and social policies should also play a major role addressing the challenging problems of children and youths. Encephalos 2009, 46(4):170-173.
